Invoking the spirit of the Lord through the music of (Saint) John Coltrane is the mission of this African Orthodox church service, notable for its rather amazing band, which invites churchgoers to bring instruments with them to engage in jam sessions for Jesus. This unique worship hour draws as many jazz fans and curious onlookers as it does regular churchgoers, and everyone is fine with that as long as you clap and sing along.
