Though we recently dedicated an entire issue to Portland, we here at XLR8R just can't get enough of our friends from the Pacific Northwest. The obsession is so bad we've decided to follow some of our favorite PDX artists all the way to New York for a special CMJ showcase. Highlighting some of the best and brightest from the Portland underground, this all-day party will feature the delicate indie-pop of The Helio Sequence, White Rainbow's psychedelic fuzz, the experimental offerings of Au, Starfucker's catchy pop hooks, and the sounds of literally dozens more artists, including Tara Jane O'Neil, Rob Walmart, and the crew from Marriage Records, who recently gave us an amazing podcast.
