The 12 Days of Christmas, Day 7
- Words: Jennifer Marston
Each December, the XLR8R staff takes a few minutes every morning to spout off about what we'd like to see wrapped up and under the tree come December 25. Today, web editor Jennifer Marston gets the scoop on Ghostly International's holiday goody collection with The Ghostly Box.
All labels (except maybe the dubstep ones) carry schwag, but Ann Arbor/New York-based Ghostly International tends to go above and beyond the norm when it comes to branding itself. A quick gander around the Ghostly store yields items like lapel pins, personalized greeting cards, Moleskine notebooks, and the good old-fashioned sticker, all bearing the label's vaguely Pacman-like ghost logo.
So the Ghostly crew was smart enough to package all these things, along with some music and clothing, into The Ghostly Box 8.0. Sixty bucks will get you the following:
Exclusive Textghost Tee, designed by Ashkan, from Don't Stop Studio; Exclusive Ghostly embossed Moleskine notebook;
Exclusive Ghostly Swim CD compilation, never before pressed;
A "You Pick" release from Ghostly's 2008, full-length releases; Personalized Ghostly Greeting Card; A set of Ghostly/Spectral lapel pins
-Ghostly Computer Decals; Various stickers
Die-hard fans of both the label and very cool collectibles should note that The Ghostly Box is limited to a run of 50 hand-numbered copies, so best to pull the Visa from your wallet right now.
