Self-described art weirdo Travis Egedy may call the Mile High City home, but his ears are clearly open to sounds from farther afield—maybe even outer space, if his musings about UFOs and expanded consciousness are to be taken seriously. Part of Denver's Rhinoceropolis warehouse/art collective, as Pictureplane, Egedy makes rough-around-the-edges dance music that's equally informed by classic rave, '80s dance pop, U.K. grime, and funky. He's already remixed artists like Crystal Castles and HEALTH, and his debut album, Dark Rift, drops this month on Lovepump United.
