LA-based Chilean producer and Cómeme label co-founder Vicente Sanfuentes is gearing up for the release of his Bodytalk EP on March 18 via his recently established eponymous imprint, a record which will arrive with remixes from the likes of Harvard Bass, Jack Savidge, Andre VII, Roman & Castro, and included here, DJs Pareja. The Buenos Aires duo puts a dark, disco-minded spin on the original "Bodytalk," starting off with a hollow bassline before introducing a sonorous version of the original vocal sample. "Bodytalk (DJs Pareja Remix)" is further tightened up with some piercing synths and rapid claps, giving the single an extra dose of Cómeme's signature sound.
Manchester 2-step/UKG don Zed Bias is fresh off of releasing his excellent Boss LP late last year via Swamp81 (not to mention giving XLR8R a little tour of his favorite local haunts), and has just handed over the first production to surface from that moniker since then, a bass-loaded remix of East London MC Ghetts' "Rebel" single from his just-released Rebel with a Cause album. International trio The Acid will release its self-titled debut EP next month via Infectious, but with a few weeks left before that four-track effort drops, we're treated to the otherworldly remix of lead single "Basic Instinct" by Brainfeeder affiliate Lapalux (pictured above). Landing almost exactly a year after Lapalux issued his debut LP, Nostalschic, the UK producer takes the Radiohead-esque vibes of the original song into much more subterranean territory, adding robotic FX to the track's vocals which take a leisurely ride atop a mass of soul-burnt textures—then, the drums come in. After grabbing Lapalux's remix below, The Acid's forthcoming debut EP (out on April 14) can be streamed in full by following the jump. Read more »

Before the celebratory 10th anniversary compilation from online music retailer Bleep arrives on May 5—complete with all brand-new music from the likes of Lone, Gas, Oneohtrix Point Never, Modeselektor, Autechre, Dabrye, Nosaj Thing, and others—one its exclusive tracks has now surfaced online from noise-wrangling UK duo Fuck Buttons. A mainstay of Modeselektor's 50Weapons stable, German producer Phon.o has dropped off "Moonwalk," the closing cut from his forthcoming Cracking Space Pt. 1 EP for the label. Featuring additional production work from San Francisco synth maestro Kit Clayton, "Moonwalk" wraps a sparse-but-forceful beat and a single vocal sample within ever-increasing layers of dark, enveloping synthesizers. Considering the density with which the track's synthscapes have been rendered, it's a wonder anything is able to break through the fog, but both Phon.o and Clayton are able to find the proper balance, resulting in a completely engrossing EP closer. Before the rest of the Cracking Space Pt. 1 EP lands on March 28, an appropriately cosmic-themed video has been made to accompany "Moonwalk," which can be watched after the jump. Read more »
When we first heard from London newcomer IYDES earlier this year, it was in anticipation of his PHASE EP, which was then slated to see a release in February. After a bit of a delay, the UK artist's debut effort will now see its release later this month in digital and vinyl form, which is preceded by another EP cut, "Aldkrome II." Built on the back of robust, ever-morphing drum constructions, the production is both dark and spacey, intricate but unapologetically strong-armed. The tune will join four other similarly hybridized pieces of electronic music on March 31, when IYDES drops PHASE; before its fast-approaching release, however, the record can be streamed in full after the jump.
