Odd Nosdam Scores Skate Film

David P. Madson (a.ka. Odd Nosdam) has made public his enthusiasm for skateboards with his latest offering. The S.F.-based producer teamed up with Element Skateboards to score the film This is My Element, and, as is usually the case with this hard-working lad, he's gone beyond the call of duty here. Madson tailored each track on the new album to fit the style of its respective skateboarder, which means he dabbled in everything from boom-bap to folk rock. Read more »

Kid Sister Album Delayed Again

There's been some back and forth in recent months regarding the release of Kid Sister's album Dream Date. We heard January, then March. Now, it seems there's no date at all. The Chicago-based rapper reportedly took the album back to "complete it as she sees fit and will set a release date with Downtown as soon as she feels it's done."

Dublab Collective Hosts New Radio Show

The Dublab Collective, a non-profit dedicated to the growth of positive music, arts, and culture, will host a weekly radio show called “Future Roots Radio” on KPFK 90.7 FM. The show, set to air every Friday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., will open with “Essential Elements,” a blend of new sounds and vintage cuts, followed by a featured guest DJ or band and a Dublab resident DJ mix.
