Talkdemonic Preps U.S. Tour Dates

With their third record, Eyes at Half Mast, due out this week, Kevin O'Connor and Lisa Molinaro, otherwise known as the force behind instrumental pop outfit Talkdemonic, will hit the road just after the album's release. The tour kicks off in the band's hometown, before traveling through a handful of U.S. cities. In the meantime, check the first MP3 off the new album here.

The Bug Adds Tour Dates

Kevin Martin, a.k.a. The Bug, has tacked several more dates onto his previously mentioned tour. He'll be showcasing his new album, London Zoo in North American cities through mid-December. Ghislain Poirier and his trusty sidekick, MC Zulu, will join Martin for one for one of the dates, then it's on to several shows with Nine Inch Nails.

Seven Questions for Pascal Pusher

Lyon-born, Paris-based Pascal Rioux doesn’t have much time for the “French Touch”–the signature disco-house sound established by Daft Punk, Etienne de Crécy, and Cassius. Rioux played his share of house music as a club DJ in the 1990s and producing tracks for the Rotax label and Glasgow Underground, but he found his soul in American '70s and '80s funk and established several labels and Pusher Distribution to bring his beloved grooves to the world.

Girl Talk CD Release Delayed

You can still download Girl Talk's sample-heavy new album, Feed the Animals, but those who want the physical CD will have to wait a tad longer, as the release date has been pushed back to October 21, due to manufacturing issues. The disc will apparently be worth the wait though. Read more »

Jay Haze Plots First U.S. Tour

Jay Haze might be an expat who prefers Berlin over the U.S., but he'll be heading back Stateside later this month, for his first-ever North American tour. The dates kick off in Philadelphia, where Haze started his TuningSpork label nearly a decade ago. Find him behind the turntables, dropping his favorite house and techno tunes.

Vote for Deerhoof's Charity

Deerhoof is really pulling out the stops for the release of Offend Maggie, which will drop October 7 via Kill Rock Stars. Besides releasing the first single as sheet music, preparing a world tour, and entertaining XLR8R by appearing in an XLR8R TV episode, the four members of the experimental indie rock outfit are also getting involved with charity.
