From L.A. With Love

Los Angeles gets a bad rep for its brown sky, congested freeways, and culturally flat population, but most who have spent time in the City of Angels would agree there's more to it than plastic people and pollution. Besides the dozens of cutting-edge art galleries, dive-bar venues, and insanely delicious Mexican food, L.A. boasts one of the country's best music scenes, and we're celebrating that with this, the second installment of our new podcast series devoted to cities around the world.

On From L.A. With Love, we profile a variety of musical genres, from guitar-driven weirdo-rock by Bad Dudes to James Figurine's dreamy version of pop and the pounding, glitch-heavy beats of DJ Take. Lab Waste shows us how to rap properly, The Mae Shi gets cathartic on the mics and drums, and Adventure Time (Daedelus and frosty of dublab) delivers a track that defies all genres. And after we're done listening, we're gonna go stuff ourselves with enchiladas from Don Antonio's.
