Samiyam "Track 20"
- Words: Bryant Rutledge
- Label: Self Released
There's no better way to support an artist than by directly paying them for their music, and 23-year old Los Angeles-based producer Sam Baker, a.k.a. Samiyam, has made that concept easier than ever. A couple weeks ago, Sam announced that he would sell his Rap Beats Vol. 1 release through paypal, directly from his MySpace page, where a few more choice selections from the disc can be heard. For a mere 10 bones, fans get a handmade CDR with custom artwork and 23 dusty hip-hop beats as only Sam can make them. He has asked that anyone purchasing the release take a photo of the artwork and post on his blog. Photo by Pinkee.

Sam is the Definition of a "Super Producer" I met sam in 2005, when he was baning out tracks on the MPC, and was blown away, I immediately Jumped on the case and met with the supervillian in a Upscale hotel in Orlando, FL while he was researching audio schools, turns out he passed on FL and is now making power moves in LA, From what i know, Sam moved onto the boss-303 I beleive and began a whole new style of audio...
I cant think of another producer I am more proud to have connected to my projects... SAM literallly was the unknown underdog with the majik touch, so i nabbed like 8-9 tracks for upcoming dutchmassive Releases.....
I see nothing but huge things in the next few years, and as the industry keeps changing, we adapt and master all thats thrown at us.....
So In closing, Support this SUPER PRODUCER! or Jump off A Bridge..

I like that you are selling direct, hope that's going well (margin is high, good work) and I love that you are doing handmade covers and then having people post in your blog.
Cool concept!
