As Atlanta-based Embassy Recordings readies its next release, a two-song single from Virginia-based duo Clicks and Whistles (pictured above), label owner Michael Rathbun (a.k.a. Distal) offers up his own remix of the track “Cranberry Goose.” The remix showcases Distal’s unique take on juke, albeit with a Southern twist. Swirling, pitch-bent leads accompany rolling, pitched 808 toms, snares, and kicks. The end result is a high-energy, floor-ready track that shifts between full-time frenzy and half-time swagger.
