With the second solo album from London vocalist/producer Ben Westbeech a little less than a month away, the remixes for the LP’s chosen single, “Something For the Weekend” (peep the video here), have come flooding in from the likes of Gerry Read, Lee Foss & Robert James, The Revenge, Joey Negro, Westbeech’s own Breach alias, and this one from UK badman Roska (pictured above). Reducing Westbeech’s vocal contribution to a few key phrases and one essential “uhh,” Roska spins the disco-house vibes of the original into menacing dancefloor gold with enough distorted drums, funky percussion, and screaming, siren-like synths to do some serious damage.
