Download: Buju Banton "Regular Ting"

Label: Gargamel

Joining the likes of TOK, Spragga Benz, and others, our man Buju Banton tries his hand at Truckback Records' Clutch riddim on this track, off his recently released Rasta Got Soul. He made the bulk of that album in 2004, when his visa was confiscated, thereby putting a stop to travel for a while. Time alone was, it seems, well spent, and roots revivalists should be all over this one.

Download: Exclusive: ApSci "Under Control (David Last vs MC Zulu Remix)"

Label: Quannum

Noise-hop duo ApSci, who just returned from Sydney, Australia, where they've been recording Best Crisis Ever, recently slipped their track "Under Control" into the hands of producer David Last. With badman MC Zulu in tow, the tune becomes a stomping, ragga-flavored number that will surely stir things up on the weekend dancefloor. Meanwhile, Best Crisis Ever will drop August 11.

Download: Lusine "Two Dots"

Label: Ghostly

We haven't seen a full-length from DJ, producer, and remixer Lusine since 2004's Serial Hodgepodge (he was busy scoring films these last five years), but the man born Jeff McIlwain is back, and here is the first single off A Certain Distance, his new album. Looks like he donned his ambient techno hat for the release, which is slated to hit stores later this fall.

Download: Minus 8 "Late Night"

Label: Compost

Crazy club music all day long would drive us insane, which is why producers like Minus 8 are sometimes a welcome breath of fresh (and slower-paced) air. The Zurich-based DJ, producer, and radio-show host just released Slow Motion, a straightforward downtempo affair that's rooted in funky jazz, hip-hop, and Latin flavor. Here's proof that the occasional chill-out session doesn't necessarily make you old and boring.

Download: Shunda K. "Thee Woman's Perspective"

Some big news of the week is that Yo Majesty's Shunda K. and Domino Records have parted ways. Even bigger news is that Shunda is simply soldiering on and releasing 42 tracks via two mixtapes. "Domino didn't move quickly enough for me," she said in a recent press release. Thus, the self-released? Best Eva Written and Kollaborations mixtapes are currently streaming at her site. Here's her perspective, via a track off the former.

Download: Gravious "Jupiter Jazz"

One of Highpoint Lowlife's latest releases comes courtesy of Alastair Jackson, otherwise known as Gravious. Under the guise, Jackson makes some very fresh, forward-thinking dubstep influenced as much by Aphex Twin as it is by Digital Mystikz, and his Futurist EP has been making the blogwaves of late. Check this wobbly dub-tech number off the release.

Download: Blaq Poet "Ain't Nuttin' Changed (Queensbridge to California Remix)"

Queensbridge MC Blaq Poet went bi-costal with this remix (the original of which appears on The Blaqprint) when he enlisted L.A.-based rhyme slingers MC Eiht and Young Malay to contribute. The latter two rap some brand new verses for the track, while the beats, courtesy of DJ Premiere, remain firmly intact. The Blaqprint will drop June 30 on Year Round
