The two producers behind Dublin outfit Forrests, Owen O’Mahony and Paul O’Reilly (also of Channel One), have offered up the ethereal “Tarifa,” which builds from an ambient crackle to a multilayered house roller over the course of four and a half minutes. Throughout its new tune, Forrests stacks so many dimensions—all kinds of flashing, twinkling, and cooing synths soar over the thumping beat and occasional vocal blips. The mix eventually swells so large that it seems to have nothing left to do except disintegrate back into quiet serenity, which it does gracefully. And if “Tarifa” strikes your fancy, you can check out a previous cut from the production pair, “Billions,” after the jump.
