OL, an up-and-comer in Moscow’s underground electronic scene who we profiled in our recent Welcome to… feature, is carving a place for himself somewhere between instrumental hip-hop and scary, sexy bass music reminiscent of Nguzunguzu. “Keep Calm” comes from the producer’s forthcoming Body Varial EP, and begins with a series of heavy, syncopated bass hits before it quickly delves into an adventurous harmony composed of high-octave, wailing synths. Midway through his tune, OL flirts with fidgety effects, pushing the synths into increasingly berserk territory. The high-energy EP drops via Error Broadcast on October 8, but you can check out its artwork and tracklist in the meantime, after the jump.
