Although Sons of the Morning, the collaborative project between veteran beatmaker Prefuse 73 and relative newcomer Teebs, played the Boiler Room over the summer, the duo has yet to actually release any material. Today, that all changes, because we have the first leak from the pair’s inaugural record. The duo teamed up to remix the Strata EP by Brooklyn-based composer and guitarist Rafiq Bhatia; “IV,” a brief track that whirs and falters for a bit before collapsing into a melodic boom-bap, is one of four productions releasing soon via Rest Assured as part of Sons of the Morning’s Strata Remixes EP.
