Recent Brooklyn transplant Dreams sent over the title track from his forthcoming album for neighborhood bass outpost Astro Nautico, called Lost Kingdom. Originally from LA, the young producer born Jesse Pimenta is a member of the LA-based audio and visual collective 6BIT, a group working somewhere within the West Coast-born beat scene. On “Lost Kingdom,” Pimenta’s bright overtones mingle with hints of wavering purple influence and a few mainstream hip-hop tricks. Lost Kingdom drops on October 5, and if you’re near New York this Saturday, you can welcome Pimenta to Brooklyn at his album release party.
