The term “Ultimate Rave Mix”—which comes tacked onto the end of this rework—likely means different things to different people. Here, Berlin producer Max Graef (pictured above) and Danish duo Muff Deep (who, by the way, is an early favorite for taking 2013’s “worst-named outfit” award) have turned their originally mellow and jazzy “Am Fenster” into a jacking piece of house—complete with jumpy chords, acid leads, and kicks and snares that just won’t quit. Basically, we’d be happy to be in attendance for the “ultimate rave” where this one gets thrown down. The aforementioned original version of “Am Fenster” serves as the title track to up-and-comer Max Graef’s latest EP, which is out now via Tartelet.
