Brighton club night and record label Donky Pitch has a bit of a habit of giving away free music, and that looks set to continue with the announcement of its free, 18-track compilation, We Didn’t Think We’d Make It This Far, Vol. 1. Intended as a summation of the label’s output to date, the offering features a song from each of the first 10 Donky Pitch releases, as well eight exclusives. Featured here, Slugabed‘s “OOF WOW!” is one of the never-before-heard tunes, and it showcases the UK producer’s shimmering, beat-centric sensibilities with bright melodies and cascading snares.
