Preparing his first release for French label Sound Pellegrino, Glasgow-based musician Joe Howe (a.k.a. Ben Butler & Mousepad) has shared “Zequels,” a frisky cut from his forthcoming EXEP EP. Alternating between segments of automated grinding repetitions and whimsical synth pads, the tune shows off Howe’s ability to fuse these dynamic elements into an airy composition of high-spirits and splendid textures. More of Joe Howe’s effervescent works can be heard when EXEP drops on April 21.
