First Listen

Bottin "All for One (feat. Rodion)"

Italian synth maestro Bottin—who has previously released with Italians Do It Better and his own Tin label—is set to deliver a new full-length via London's Bear Funk imprint next week. As a preview, the Venice producer has dropped off "All for One," a bouncy disco affair that incorporates the talents of fellow Italian Rodion into the mix. Appearing in the first half of Bottin's forthcoming Punica Fides LP, the tune is built around an efficient drum machine rhythm which hits pockets of delay as it skips along. Atop this base, Bottin and Rodion add interweaving layers of buzzing analog synths and cold, almost inhuman vocal stamps. The resulting production lands somewhere cleverly between cosmic disco and vintage-striped house, with a dash of Italo and funk thrown in for good measure. Bottin's nine-track Punica Fides album is set to see an official release next Tuesday, May 20.
