NYC artist Slam Skillet will join the ranks of the SF/Denver-based Dirty//Clean label/collective early next month with the release of his Collagen EP. A six-track effort, Collagen is said to find the budding talent using 21st century architecture as a major point of inspiration for his productions. Offered here, EP cut “Connective” appears to support that statement. A future-minded club track, “Connective” defined by its sharp edges; sounds are rarely allowed to decay or echo, and instead largely stay within precisely defined confines as Slam Skillet spins and turns the tune’s patterns in all manner of directions throughout the track’s energetic run. The burgeoning producer’s latest effort can be downloaded below ahead of the full release of his Collagen EP, set to arrive on April 7.
