In between appearances on Letterman (April 11) and Coachella (April 28), James Murphy and crew, collectively working as LCD Soundsystem, will be busy on the road supporting their soon-to-be-released second album, Sound of Silver. Since their 2005 self-titled release, the group has become a phenomenon of experimental impulses, abstract funkiness, and all-out craziness that even the un-cool kids are getting into. Tickets to the shows should be a much hotter commodity than previously seen, so waste no time buying ’em.

For those who can’t wait for the full-length to drop, a digital-only EP of its lead single, “North American Scum,” along with two remixes of the track, is available starting today at iTunes.

Sound of Silver is out March 20, 2007 on DFA/Capitol.
