Detroit native and local scene proponent Ronnie Watts (a.k.a. Phat Kat) is poised to rock crowds across the country with his futuristic hip-hop that’s recently helped put his hometown back on the map (Download Issue 106 of XLR8R to read an article about the new Detroit hip-hop scene).

Slum Village, Illa J (younger brother of the late J Dilla), and DJs Dez and Design will accompany Cash on the road for The Carte Blanche Tour, named for Cash’s anticipated second full-length. Avid fans will have to wait for the album, as its release date has been pushed back from April 24 to May 8, but there will still be a few days to listen to the new jams before catching Cash and crew in the live setting.
