Italio-disco producer and member of the Gomma family Rodion handed his track, “Electric Soca,” off his 2007 Romantic Jet Dance album, to a few friends recently, for remixes. The result is a pleasant variety of tunes, all of which deviate stylistically from the slow, sultry original version.

The Crookers remix should please those who favor the more grandiose side of dance music (and, um, the Chemical Brothers), while Cosmo Vitelli slows the tempo down and turns the track into a hybrid of disco and downtempo. Kaos, who has remixed for the likes of !!! and New Young Pony Club, goes straight for the techno heart of the track. A must-have for your DJ bag.
