On February 4, Paris-based label Kitsuné will unleash another bundle of tunes to the masses in the form of Kitsuné Maison 5.

As with previous installments of the series, the sampler features rare and exclusive tracks from the trendiest of artists making dance music today, though a few surprises do crop up in this latest batch. Whereas previous Maison comps stayed true to the indie realms, the fifth edition sees contributions from M.I.A. and Fischerspooner in addition to tracks from usual suspects DatA, Digitalism, and The Teenagers. How that will go over with the indie crowd remains to be seen, but Kitsuné’s delightful, we-don’t-give-a-fuck attitude allows them to include pretty much whoever they want on compilations–and the results are usually excellent regardless.
