M83 Releases New Vinyl, Tours

Vinyl junkies have a treat awaiting them for the holidays, as Anthony Gonzalez has just announced he'll be releasing all five of his M83 albums on vinyl. M83, Dead Cities, Red Seas, and Lost Ghosts, Before the Dawn Heals Us, Digital Shades Vol. 1, and his most recent full-length, Saturdays = Youth, will each be re-released as a double-LP packaged with a bonus CD.

Martinez Brothers Talk Gear, Tunes

Bronx-bred brothers Steve and Chris Martinez are insistent on bucking the DJ trend on a few different levels. At 19 and 16 years of age respectively, they exhibit an impressive dexterity as DJs and an intimate connection with a genre of music deeply ingrained in their DNA: house. Michna Tours, Makes Soup

Brooklyn-based beatmaker and former Secret Frequency Crew member Michna will kick off a tour tonight in Baltimore. The recent Ghosty International signee dropped his debut album, Magic Monday, earlier this month and it's highly likely he'll incorporate tracks from the album into the handful of live sets he's scheduled to play, including one CMJ showcase with his new Ghostly brethren Matthew Dear's Big Hands, School of Seven Bells, and Mike Servito.

Sebastien Tellier Adds U.S. Tour Dates

Sebastien Tellier and his sexual sportswear will return to the U.S. for a few more shows, following an earlier round of dates the French multi-instrumentalist and master of lovemaking did earlier this summer. He'll stop off in major U.S. cities at the beginning of December, and tickets for these shows will likely go fast.

Family of Others

Deerhoof's Offend Maggie's become so popular since its release it seems that even bacteria goes a little nuts on hearing one of the band's tracks, and directors Sara Magenheimer and Eben Portnoy, of Brooklyn-based experimental out fit Flying, managed to capture this under the microscope. Either that or they somehow got their hands on some footage from the local bio labs. Read more »

The Juan Maclean Remixes Matthew Dear
