Mule Musiq Talks New Compilation

Since its inception, Mule Musiq has released work from an international sampling of artists, from London-based producers Mock & Toof to U.S.-born Terre Thaemlitz and even Norway’s disco king, Prins Thomas. But half a decade later, the Tokyo, Japan-based label is examining what’s within the borders of its own homeland for its latest project.

FINALE Becomes a Mario Brother

We briefly mentioned Detroit rapper FINALE's forthcoming debut album, A Pipe Dream & a Promise, a couple weeks ago, touching on the fact that Interdependent Media has created a Super Mario Bros.-themed videogame to go along with the release. More information on the game has surfaced this week, along with the actual player, so those wishing to revisit 1985 can do so now.

Modeselektor and Apparat Reform Moderat

Any good techno fan knows that 2009 is not the first year the name Moderat has surfaced. Fans of the genre (or electronic music in general) will recall that, in 2002, the Modeselektor boys (Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary) joined forces with Apparat (Sascha Ring) and recorded the Auf Kosten der Gesundheit EP.
