On May 27, Ted Braun’s documentary, Darfur Now, will drop on DVD via Warner Independent Pictures. The film follows the first-hand experiences of Don Cheadle, Hejewa Adam, Pablo Recalde, Ahmed Mahmoud Abaker, Louis Moreno-Ocampo, and Adam Sterling as they explore the ongoing humanitarian conflict in Darfur and attempt to raise awareness about the region’s struggles.

Prior to the film’s release, a slew of artists will gather together and tour the country for a series of screenings and concerts to be held a various colleges and universities. Confirmed performers thus far include Cool Kids, Goapele, Zion I, Janelle Monae, Anthony David, Wale, Asheru, and DJ Drama. Artists will perform at each school, following a screening of Darfur Now.
