Xiu Xiu to Play “Bad” Art Exhibition

Xiu Xiu is laying low for the fall, it seems, but Jamie Stewart and Co. will make one appearance, across the country from their Oakland homebase, in New York. The band is scheduled for a show at New York magazine's Bad Art Auction on November 19.

Marnie Stern Preps Tour Dates

Femme fatale and absolute guitar wizard Marnie Stern has announced more tour dates for the fall, in addition to the previously announced batch with Gang Gang Dance. She'll be showcasing songs from her elaborately named sophomore album and showing off those shred skills through the end of November.

Atlas Sound Drops Halloween Tracks

M83 Releases New Vinyl, Tours

Vinyl junkies have a treat awaiting them for the holidays, as Anthony Gonzalez has just announced he'll be releasing all five of his M83 albums on vinyl. M83, Dead Cities, Red Seas, and Lost Ghosts, Before the Dawn Heals Us, Digital Shades Vol. 1, and his most recent full-length, Saturdays = Youth, will each be re-released as a double-LP packaged with a bonus CD.

Michna Tours, Makes Soup

Brooklyn-based beatmaker and former Secret Frequency Crew member Michna will kick off a tour tonight in Baltimore. The recent Ghosty International signee dropped his debut album, Magic Monday, earlier this month and it's highly likely he'll incorporate tracks from the album into the handful of live sets he's scheduled to play, including one CMJ showcase with his new Ghostly brethren Matthew Dear's Big Hands, School of Seven Bells, and Mike Servito.
