Dan Deacon's Bromst Mania Begins

Seems like we’ve heard non-stop buzz over Dan Deacon's forthcoming Bromst since the new year began, and it’s about to get a lot louder.

First: the album. NPR currently has the whole thing available for streaming via its website, for those fanatics who want to learn every bell chime and viola note before Bromst's March 24 release date. And yes, the album will contain those sounds, along with a wide variety of samples, electronic noise, and acoustic instrumentation, which is why Deacon will take no less than 14 musicians with him when he heads out on tour in April. The live ensemble will be playing tracks from the album, armed with numerous percussion instruments, guitars, keyboards, a saxophone, and a couple of stringed instruments.

Of course you could always read up on Deacon before the shows and album release date...
