This week began with Maximo Park’s strangely-lit and weirdly popular “Our Velocity.” Next came a video from The Gaslamp Killer, shaving his head alongside guest Gonjasufi (a.k.a. Flying Lotus). Wednesday brought the intensely produced “Divebomb” from Kitsuné’s The Whip, then the awkward psych-sounds of Dirty Projectors as they played for a bunch of apathetic folks in Washington Square Park.

The Week In Downloads

This week began with The Dead Texan–that odd-but-delightful Belgium-based duo who records for Kranky–giving Christopher Willits' "Colors Shifting" track an ambient remake. Frenchman datA came through with an original track for the electro kids, then Crunc Tesla, strangest man alive, joined forces with K-Swift, Seraphim, and Diego Maraedonna for some dirty, demonic bass.

Loading: PSP Gets Redesigned, PS3 Price Drops

Redesigned PSP Coming This Fall

After long-running speculation from fans, and continual denials of any such product existing, Sony announced a slimmer, redesigned PSP at E3 this past week. The newly re-jiggered mini media center is scheduled to hit stores sometime in September, with a sleeker design and a video-out feature.
