Caribou, Grouper on Trentemøller Comp
- Words: Maverick Newberry
He might be known the world over for minimal electronic dancefloor cuts, but Anders Trentemøller has a few other tricks up the sleeves of that coat, one of which is lumping artists like Beach House, Grouper, Two Lone Swordsmen, and A Place to Bury Strangers onto the same compilation—and effectively too.
Harbour Boat Trips is reportedly a collection of the Danish DJ, producer, and remixer's favorite tunes, and also his first-ever mix CD. The variety of tracks also includes a few rare outtakes and remixes, along with one live edit of Trentemøller's own track "Vamp."
The album will drop May 18, as the inaugural release for brand-new concept imprint hfn.
Harbour Boat Trips:
01 Grouper - "Heavy Water/I'd Rather Be Sleeping"
02 Gravenhurst - "I Turn My Face to the Forest Floor"
03 Emiliana Torrini - "Livesaver"
