Juan Atkins, Wighnomy Bros Play L.A. Fest

Looks like the U.S. is ramping up its efforts to bring some top-notch electronic-music festivals to its coasts, with both the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival and L.A.'s Convention Festival announcing their 2009 installments' plans. Convention will take place over September 18 - 20 at multiple L.A. venues, and with folks like Juan Atkins, Wighnomy Brothers, and Echospace set to entertain the crowds, it promises to be quite an inaugural event. Further line-up additions are expected in the weeks to come. But check out the first announcements in the meanwhile:

Ya the la local line-up here seems to stink of the same weak shity we hear opening up for every international talent they over pay to play in la @ compression/ droid/ droog all over hyped locals who re-define the term wet behind the ears .....can sombody give the la scene some cpr we seem to be flat lining.......locals show some skills not just cash to put on these events....

wow, Sean Palm? I didn't know he played live, nice find! Same with Joel Mull and the Droid Behavior crew...definitely looking forward to this.

Its appears "Dj Anonymous" is having trouble getting booked in LA. I wonder why? Hmm. =/
