It should come as no surprise that the collaboration between Joy Orbison and Instra:mental’s Boddika resulted in one of 2011’s most inescapable club tunes, “Swims.” By the same token, it should also come as no real surprise that the man behind “Sicko Cell,” another 2011 track that was hyped and revered long before its release, has made us wait so long to get our hands on a physical copy of his latest output. All that’s set to change with the news that Swamp81 has plans to finally drop “Swims” in 12″ format later this month. The vinyl-only release (artwork above) will come complete with a more “chord-driven” version of the track as its b-side, ensuring both sides of the forthcoming 12″ will be just as likely to serve as essential dancefloor burners. You can pre-order the record here before its official release on January 16. For those that need a reminder as to what the two producers collaborative efforts resulted in, we’ve thrown a stream of “Swims” below. (via FACT)
