Since its founding back in 2005, the Ramp imprint has consistently been a place for quality productions from the UK and beyond. Between its early releases from the likes of Count Bass D, Zomby, and FaltyDL to its more recent efforts from burgeoning artists such as Teeth and Gerry Read, it is easy to see why Ramp has managed to flourish. And with that, the label has reached its 50th release, a benchmark it is celebrating with the release of a retrospective compilation, Ramp 50 (artwork above). A full tracklist has not been made available yet for the comp (which is set to drop March 12), but we’re told it will contain highlights from the independent label’s back catalog, including cuts from SBTRKT, Ras G, FaltyDL, and Zomby. Best of all, the collection will be available at a discounted price so as to make Ramp’s music more accessible than ever. In the meantime, the label is also set to drop another compilation of tracks, making a number of tunes from the vinyl-only Brainmath sub-label available digitally for the first time. No tracklist is available for that release either, but considering that Brainmath’s discography is comprised of contributions from top-notch producers like Untold, SBTRKT, James Blake, and Brackles, it will certainly be something to look out for.
