Earlier today, UK producer Gold Panda unexpectedly announced the imminent release of a new 7″ single, “Mountain” b/w “Financial District” (artwork above). Dropping ahead of another busy summer of touring around the globe, the two-song effort is meant as a stand-alone release, something Gold Panda is referring to as both a “short story” and an example of “modern hip-hop.” The songs are available digitally today, while the vinyl versions will see the light of day on June 11. Gold Panda’s own Notown label will handle the UK release, while the US and European versions will come out via Ghostly. In the meantime, both tracks have been made available to stream on SoundCloud, and can be found below, along with the complete list of upcoming Gold Panda tour dates.
