Montreal dub-techno heavyweight Deadbeat (a.k.a. Scott Monteith) has announced the arrival of his next album, Eight, on his Kompakt sub-label BLKRTZ. Eight, so named because the LP contains eight tracks (how clever), was recorded in an “industrial space” in Berlin, and will drop on September 10. Deadbeat’s new digs were equipped with Moog and Prophet 600 synthesizers, both of which the producer used to add a special analog depth and “full-spectrum bombast” to the songs. The end result is a collection of tracks Deadbeat says are more intense and powerful than his work from throughout the past 13 years. You can check out the tracklist for Eight below.

1. The Elephant in the Pool
2. Lazy Jane (Stepper’s Dove)
3. Alamut
4. Wolves and Angels
5. Punta de Chorros
6. My Rotten Roots
7. Yard
8. Horns of Jericho
