The Lowdown - This Week's XLR8R Top 10

Throughout the week, a whole lot of material gets posted here on XLR8R. And while we know—and love—that some hardcore readers will eagerly pour over every single news story, interview, podcast, video, and MP3 download that appears on the site, we also realize that for most people, it's impossible to see everything, which means that some quality XLR8R content is likely to get missed in the hustle and bustle of everyone's daily lives. In the interest of making it easier for everyone to catch up, every Friday we present The Lowdown, a weekly wrap-up of the top 10 tidbits from our site.

1. Dirtybird bossman Claude VonStroke (pictured above) took us inside his new LA digs and told us about his evolving production methods for the latest chapter of In the Studio.

2. Mexican producer and Cómeme oddball Daniel Maloso put together an exclusive mix for this week's XLR8R podcast. We also exclusively streamed his new album in full.

3. NYC duo Wolf + Lamb offered up a free download of its new album, Versus, ahead of its official release next week.

4. This week's contest gave readers the chance to win a pair of sunglasses from Shwood. Enter now before it's too late.

5. Rising UK producer Citizen was the focus of the latest Bubblin' Up feature.

6. We reviewed—and quite liked—the new Fabric 66 mix CD from German DJ/producer Ben Klock.

7. UK beatmaker Lapalux dropped a new EP, which we also liked. Here's our review.

8. Next month, Tropics will be releasing a new EP on Svetlana Industries, Popup Cinema. Ahead of that, he gave away a remix of the title track by fellow Londoner Kelpe.

9. UK producer George FitzGerald has been rather busy lately. This week, he announced the impending release of a new EP, Needs You, on the Hypercolour label.

10. Next week, UK duo Shelter Point will be releasing its debut EP via Scuba's Hotflush label. Before that, XLR8R was given an exclusive stream of the whole record.
