Video: Cadence Weapon “Sharks”

At just 21, Edmonton, Alberta-bred Cadence Weapon has already released a legitimate record, remixed Ghostface and Lady Sov, and rocked South by Southwest a couple of times, not to mention the fact that this wunderkind assumes most writing, producing, and remixing duties by himself. “Sharks” is a lively, electro hip-hop track that, as he suggests on his MySpace page, “Sounds like Steve Urkel when he became Stefan Urquel.”

Ulrich Schnauss Preps New Album

It’s been four years since Ulrich Schnauss released A Strangely Isolated Place (Domino), ambient downtempo’s answer to lush, shoegaze music, but despite a lack of output during this time, the German producer hasn’t been idle. Rather, a move from Berlin back to his hometown of Kiel gave Schnauss the isolation needed to focus on work and reinvent his trademark sound for his latest release, Goodbye.
