Midwestern doom-juke (yes, we just made that up, but it fits, okay?) outfit Salem has unleashed another DJ mix on the world. The Raver Stay Wif Me mix is available for free download courtesy of Dis Magazine, and, as expected, features a panic-attack-inducing combination of sounds, from nightmarish pitch-shifted pop and hip-hop to screwed versions of Darude's "Sandstorm" and Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone." RAMP Launches New UK Funky Sub-Label

RAMP Recordings is launching a new sub-label, PTN, which promises to focus more intently on the house and funky sounds coming out of the UK right now. The first release is the debut EP from Welsh producer Doc Daneeka (pictured), which includes tracks that have been given big ups from the likes of Brackles and Martyn over the past few months. Buenos Aires cumbia-toting groove maker Andrés Schteingart (a.k.a. El Remolón) just offered a brand-new mixtape of tropical remixes, dirty mash-ups, and mid-tempo heaters courtesy of the ZZK label. Robert Hood to Release New Sci-Fi Themed Album in June

Veteran minimal techno producer Robert Hood has readied his first album to be released since 2009's reissue of his 1994 classic, Minimal Nation. Based on the 1971 film of The Omega Man, Hood's new record, entitled Omega, takes not only musical inspiration from the old sci-fi flick, but also its themes of a dystopian future. The techno icon explained his take on the film, saying, "It’s definitely metaphoric, and if we don't heed the signs, this is where we'll end up. We live in a society where we just consume.
