Rising London producer and past Bubblin’ Up featuree Murlo has released a four-track EP of new R&B remixes, appropriately titled R’N’B Zip, offering the music as an absolutely free download. The EP takes tracks from Fabolous, Ginuwine, Ashanti, and even Ja Rule into much more listenable territory than their original forms, not simply by haphazardly throwing acapellas on top of new beats, but by refitting these songs into full-bodied dancefloor workouts that exist somewhere between tropical bass, UK funky, and, of course, silky R&B.
