Stream the Final Track from Anthony Naples' Upcoming EP for The Trilogy Tapes

Over the past several months, track streams from Anthony Naples' second EP for The Trilogy Tapes have been quietly surfacing on SoundCloud along with speculative release dates, starting with "More Problem" (which we posted back in May) and followed by "Perro" and title track "Zipacón" (available here and here, respectively). Today, the final cut from the Brooklyn-turned-West Coast producer's four-track effort has materialized, along with a fresh release date. Read more »

Kode9 and Toby Heys Launch AUDiNT, Release 'Martial Hauntology' Box Set

Aside from serving as a leading producer and the head of the esteemed Hyperdub label, Steve Goodman (a.k.a. Kode9, pictured above) has also dedicated much of his time to audio research, having served as a lecturer at the University of East London and authored the book Sonic Warfare: Sound, Affect, and The Ecology of Fear in 2009. Now, alongside Toby Heys (a research fellow at Manchester University), Goodman will release Martial Hauntology, an audio research box set which "investigates the properties of newly emergent super-directional speakers when coupled with infrasonic devices." When it comes to crafting melancholic, garage-influenced collages, few artists match the skills of Four Tet (a.k.a. Kieren Hebden), but apart from that, the UK producer has always had a good ear for A&R, having tapped the likes of Anthony Naples, Happa, and Container for remixes.
