Los Angeles experimental bass producers and Fade To Mind cohorts Nguzunguzu just dropped the video for “Smoke Alarm,” a cut lifted from the duo’s recent Warm Pulse EP. The provocative artists follow up last year’s video for “Water Bass Power” with an equally cheap aesthetic, albeit with less computer graphics. Colorful shots of lasers and LED lights brighten up more drab backdrops of shrubbery, dim spaces, and a living room propped with a flaming coffee table. As Nguzunguzu’s tune evolves, an innocent Chihuahua appears, wandering aimlessly around the house while the golden embers continue to burn and grow in intensity until the closing shot. (via Pitchfork)
