DJ T., DJ Hell on Get Physical Comp

When a press release starts with the question "Have you ever asked yourself what song you'd like to be played at your funeral?", we're ready to sit up and take note. Said statement comes from Berlin-based powerhouse Get Physical, who announced a new series, Final Song, which asks "a number of musicians to select their ideal last song, either to serenade their final moments or to memorialize them after the fact." Which basically means the label has commissioned artists to pick they're favorite funeral jams.

Home Video Release Date Pushed Back

After word of a late 2008 EP release, Home Video (David Gross and Collin Ruffino) has decided to hold off until the new year for the release. The new EP, It Will Be OK, is now slotted to hit stands on January 13. This will be the band's first release since 2006, when they put out No Certain Night or Morning on Defend Music, and will depart from the band's more minimalist earlier synth-rock to explore more luscious territory. Yo Majesty Readies Tour Dates

Florida's sauciest trio of ladies, otherwise known as the force that is Yo Majesty, will hit the road in the new year. Forthcoming tour dates are in support of their previously announced debut full-length, Futuristically Speaking, Never Be Afraid.

For the live shows, the ladies will be backed by a live band and sometimes collaborator/producer DJ David Alexander. Onstage antics and lots of sweat are a foregone conclusion here.

The Presets Plot U.S. Tour Dates

The Presets just can't get enough of the U.S., it seems. After co-headlining a North American tour with fellow Australians and labelmates Cut Copy earlier this year, Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes will take a brief break for the holidays, then head Stateside again for another round of tour dates. They'll continue showcasing material from this year's Apocalypso, which dominated dancefloors in 2008 and won the duo an ARIA award. Catch them in one of these cities:

I Got You Dancing

Lady Sovereign suffered from "exhaustion" at points during the last couple years, but the self-proclaimed midget appears to have her energy back. A forthcoming album, Jigsaw is due to hit stores on April 7, with the first single, "I Got You Dancing," available for free download right now. And as this video shows, Sov's changed her look quite a bit, trading Adidas stripes and sweats for leopard prints and leather. Read more »
