Video Premiere: Low Limit "Uppercut"
Today, we're premiering the video for LA artist Low Limit's "Uppercut," a song lifted from the XLR8R Pick'd Ouroboros compilation, which the producer curated and arranged for Innovative Leisure. The piece opens with bronzed items which could very well be from the artist's childhood—a cassette tape, a computer mouse, and a toy car, among other things—being explored by an anonymous bronze hand before moving into a floating sequence of colors and patterns. Things get wild around the climax of "Uppercut," as confetti flies and the hand shatters a bottle on the ground. Directed by Lonnie Francisco for City of Tar Films, the clip for "Uppercut" expertly plays off of the song's hard-hitting bassline, powerful beats, and emotionally wrought vocal samples.
