!!! Announces North American Tour

A little over a year ago, Brooklyn dance-punkers !!! dropped their Warp debut, Myth Takes, and since then, we've seen the band remixed by everyone from Hot Chip to Scottie B. Nothing beats a live !!! performance though, as last year's sold-out performances will attest, and this summer just got brighter when the band announced a slew of dates for June, July, and August. Venues for several of the dates have yet to be confirmed, so keep your ears open for more info.

New Lightning Head Afrobeat EP and Album

Recording throughout the mid-'90s as a part of groundbreaking ambient dub group Rockers Hi-Fi (Different Drummer, Island, Warners), Glyn "Bigga" Bush didn’t let up after the group disbanded at the end of the decade. Instead, Bush evolved his sound, keeping dub as the foundation and adding other eclectic musical structures on top. The results have included solo albums for Sonar Kollektiv (Studio Don as Lightning Head) and Stereo Deluxe (Biggabush Free, Sound Sensation as Bigga Bush).

Matmos, The Field, Ewan Pearson Added to Sonar Lineup

Another slew of artists will join the likes of Boys Noize, Flying Lotus, and Neon Neon for Barcelona's 2008 Sonar Festival, whose initial lineup was announced at the end of February and is blessedly free of the Beastie Boys this year.

Okami Art Site Now Up
To celebrate the impending April 15 release of Okami on the Wii, a game based on Japanese mythology and known widely for its stunning “sumi-e” design style, Capcom recently unveiled a brand new site devoted to the game’s art.

Okami was originally released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2006 and received many accolades, including a few “Game of the Year” nods. Unfortunately, and bewilderingly, the game failed to really gain commercial momentum.

Dosh Announces Tour Dates

As previously mentioned, Minneapolis-based experimental producer Dosh is set to release his fourth solo album this spring on anticon., after a lengthy time spent touring and recording with Andrew Bird.
