This strange and shifty bit of footage arrives as the visual accompaniment for “Vox & Cymbals,” an uncharacteristic tune from drum & bass veteran Nubian Mindz and his brand-new Hacker Wacker EP for disko404. The clip is actually lifted from Chantal Akermans’ 1972 art-house flick Hôtel Monterey, and was subsequetly edited and altered to match with the noisy and percussive production. It has a disorienting and haunted effect when paired with the b-side from Nubian Mindz’s new record, the rest of which you can stream below.
