Last month, word of new Knxwledge releases for Dublin label All City surfaced, and now, we have a video from the prolific LA beatmaker’s forthcoming three-track Rap Jointz Vol. 1 EP. The quick “Nothesame” track features a guest appearance from Blu, and is a fairly straightforward, classic-sounding cut—albeit one that sounds decidedly jumbled and submerged. The video itself is a stuttering and warped series of episodic images which follow the seemingly stream of conscious narrative of Blu’s verse. A thick haze of smoke undulates in and out of the frame as the video’s lead stumbles through different events and locations, making for an apt visual accompaniment to Knxwledge’s blunted production. The narcotic Rap Jointz Vol. 1 is set to drop on September 24 (preview and pre-order it here) with the Kauliflowr LP arriving shortly thereafter in October.
