The Week In Tours, July 19

Next, Daniel Snaith as Caribou rages through Europe and and tons of cities Stateside, while Solid Groove representative Switch gets crowds riled at some of the most infamous clubs around. Finally, Brooklyn-based outfit Dirty Projectors set psych-fire on a few dates with White Rainbow and YACHT.

Event: Andy Mueller's "Point + Shoot"

Those in Tokyo can head over to the Adam et Rope gallery in the Shibuya district on Friday, July 20, for Point + Shoot, a solo exhibition from photographer Andy Mueller.

The exhibition will consist of 100 photos by Mueller–a photographer, designer, and the man behind the Quiet Life brand–took between the years 1994 and 2007, focusing on 6 ongoing bodies of his photo work. Boxed sets of original prints will also be at the show.

Botchit Goes Dubstep

It doesn’t get any more London than Botchit & Scarper. The label rewrote breakbeat history in 1993 with its slew of singles from dub heads like Full Moon Scientist, break-master Freq Nasty, and tech-drum & bass originator B.L.I.M. The label also introduced listeners to the Long Time Dead sounds of T-Power and the hectic breaks of Atomic Hooligan, in addition to unleashing a breakbeat burner from DJ Mutiny last month.

They've only been at it a year, but Matthew Mercer and Matt Keppel–producing together as Microfilm–have already received praise from the likes of LFO and Rob Da Bank's BBC Radio 1 show. Taking cues from choppy disco and German minimalism, Mercer and Kepple turn "After Dark" into a serene-yet-danceworthy track.
