Over the past few years, Benjamin Damage has gradually become one of the core acts on Modeselektor‘s 50Weapons imprint. Following his debut LP Heliosphere, the UK-born, Berlin-based producer closed out last year by issuing the hard-charging 4600 EP. Next month, he’ll be presenting a new three-song outing, Up/Acid Bath. Scheduled for release on May 23, the EP is described as “a feast for techno lovers with its homage to the bleepy sounds from the golden era of the ’90s” and also claims to be an effort that renders his “UK bass past only dimly recognizable.” More concretely, the EP reportedly finds Damage working with his recently acquired TB-303, which likely explains some of the music’s nods to the old school.
